The results are in...

James has been diagnosed with a "Germ-cell" tumor. We are waiting for the full pathology report but as it stands now, here's the course of action:

  • Thursday, December 23~ A port will be put in place to use for chemotherapy treatments. This procedure will take place at St. Luke's in The Woodlands and should be an out patient procedure. James will also have a complete lung function test. This test will serve as a baseline throughout chemo.

  • Monday, December 27~ James will begin chemotherapy treatments at MD Anderson Cancer Center in The Woodlands. He will have four chemo treatments four hours a day, five days a week, every three weeks. At the end of four chemo treatments, Dr. Coscio will check his response to chemo and determine if surgery is necessary.

James is still fighting a fever that is making him feel rundown and sluggish. Its not too high but will keep him from starting chemo if we can not get it down.

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24 (thank you, ms. holly!)

We appreciate all the support through prayer!

Much love to you and yours!

Amy

  3. Sweetheart, I appreciate the thanks, but it all goes to God :o) There's a little saying that I find a need for almost daily, it goes like this: All things lost shall be revealed in the name of Jesus. It works for small things like misplaced car keys or finding within the hour a necklace that had been lost for SIX YRs! It works on big things too...like 'Good Health'! It has NEVER failed me or anyone that I know who's used it. You memorize it babygirl and say it before each chemo treatment. James will be running circles around you in no time! God's Word! Blessing to you both...A.W.O.Y.A.

  4. Dear Amy & James,
Have your picture on my fridge so everytime I go by, (and that's a lot these days) I send up a quick prayer for you both. Peace, Patience, Strength, and love come your way several times a day. I love you both, but not near as much as God. Ephesians 3:18-20 Paraphrased - I pray that you...will understand the greatness of Christ's love - how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is. And to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think; to Him be the glory! Stay Strong!Love you Both!
